McMasters Pies
Baking with Love Since 1866 McMasters heritage dates back to 1822 Scotland where Thomas McMaster learnt the art of artisan baking after moving there from Ireland as a young man. Hearing about new opportunities in Australia, Thomas took a risk embarking on a journey to the new world colony of Sydney in 1839. However, after realising that Sydney wasn't the right place for him and his family, Thomas moved to Victoria in 1842, eventually settling in the young, bustling town of Beechworth. In 1866 Thomas' eldest daughter, Mary McMaster, and her pastry chef husband, David Dunlop, joined the rest of the McMaster clan in Beechworth and established the Scotch Pie Shop and the McMaster's Pies brand. For over 150 years McMasters has been renowned for its quality, artisan pies.
